Lead Mechanical Engineer - Data Center Project - Contract!
Earthstream Global are currently looking for Lead Mechanical Engineer to join an end-client within the Data Center space, and be involved with a large project in Austria.
As the Lead Mechanical Engineer you will take full responsibility for overseeing the delivery of all mechanical engineering and commissioning activities of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the GC to lead and manage the mechanical engineering team across all project phases
- Drive commissioning strategy and execution, ensuring systems are buildable, testable and ready for handover
- Ensure high standards of EHS compliance, promoting safe systems of work and leading by example on site
- Provide clear and structured reporting to senior engineering and business leadership
In short, you will ensure the mechanical scope is delivered safely, technically and commercially.
Essential skills and experience:
- Significant senior-level mechanical engineering experience on large-scale construction projects, with some Data Center experience
- Confidence working directly with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to perform effectively under pressure and maintain delivery focus in complex project environments
- Strong communication in German
- Mechanical Engineering Degree
