Your Impact
As an Advisor, External Commitments, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving Newmont’s sustainability governance processes. You will help ensure compliance with responsible mining standards, external reporting requirements, and audit readiness across our global operations.
As Part of Our Team, You Will
- Support governance processes related to external commitments, including responsible mining standards and sustainability data assurance.
- Maintain documentation required for compliance and external assurance.
- Coordinate logistics for Site, Business Unit and Enterprise participation in sustainability and governance processes.
- Liaise with internal cross-disciplinary teams, and external audit firms, to support integrated verification activities.
- Contribute to process improvements and ensure accurate tracking and reporting of external commitments.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in sustainability, governance, compliance, or external reporting.
- Knowledge of responsible mining and/or sustainability reporting frameworks.
- Experience managing audit documentation, compliance registers, and/or assurance processes.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, or similar data/document systems.
Your Work Environment
- You’ll be part of Newmont’s Risk & Governance function, working collaboratively with teams across Safety, Environment, Social Performance and other corporate functions. The role focuses on system coordination, audit readiness, and governance support in a fast-paced and global context.
- The preferred location for candidates is near our corporate headquarters, in Denver, Colorado; however highly qualified candidates near our regional offices, or any of our site locations, will be considered.
- Collaboration and interaction are expected with teams across the global, regional, and site organization as well as across other service and operational areas of Newmont across multiple time zones.
- The listed salary range applies to positions based in Colorado. Compensation may vary for candidates hired in other locations.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $89,760 - 117,810. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
