This cadetship forms a key part of Evolution’s early careers talent pipeline, with high-performing cadets strongly considered for future opportunities in our People & Culture Graduate Program.
This role will work a 2–3-day roster from the Sydney office. We understand that flexible work means something different to everyone and encourage you to have a conversation about the flexible work options available.
About the role
Our People & Culture Cadetship is a structured development opportunity designed for a student in their penultimate year of study. Working approximately 2–3 days per week alongside your university commitments, you’ll gain hands-on experience across all aspects of the People & Culture function at our Group Office in Sydney.
Key responsibilities
- Working closely with our People & Culture team to apply your university knowledge in a practical setting.
- Supporting recruitment activities such as screening and interview coordination
- Assisting with performance review cycles and policy updates
- Contributing to projects that improve employee experience, engagement, and inclusion
- Providing high-quality administrative and coordination support across the employee lifecycle
- Demonstrating a commitment to Evolution Miings values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability and Respect
About you
The ideal candidate be in the penultimate year of study in a tertiary qualification in Business, Human Resources, Commerce, Psychology, or a related discipline, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Previous administration experience is desirable but not essential, and no mining experience is required. You should be proactive, organized, and eager to learn, thriving in a fast-paced environment and enjoying collaborative work. You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. You must demonstrate a high level of motivation and a genuine willingness to learn.
