Enacting our vision to be inspired people creating a premier global gold company, we are a bold team with a bright future. Our operational diversity offers our employees access to many experiences and career opportunities within the one company.
About the role
This is your chance to see how a global organisation manages its voice and reputation. Reporting to the Group Manager Communications & Corporate Affairs, you’ll join a team that values fresh thinking, creativity and practical outcomes that deliver to plan.
You’ll be involved in projects that make a real impact:
- Supporting video production and editing
- Social media content creation
- Internal communications support and storytelling
- Supporting alignment to brand and reputation through engagement support, brand management and design
- Providing communications support to our operational teams
- Working with internal stakeholders to drive project communications and campaigns
What makes this role different? You’ll gain exposure to strategic communications, not just day-to-day admin. You’ll learn how brand, culture, and reputation come together, and you’ll leave with tangible outcomes you can showcase in your portfolio.
About you
You’re a communications student with a curious mind and a knack for making complex ideas simple. Ideally, you’re in your penultimate or final year of a degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Corporate Affairs, or an Arts Degree with a major in English.
You’ll bring:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; you can craft a clear message and spot inconsistencies.
- A proactive, organised approach with the confidence to work across multiple stakeholders.
- An interest in how mining contributes to Australia’s economy and a desire to be part of a values-driven organisation.
What motivates you? Building real-world experience, working on projects that influence how thousands of people connect, and learning from professionals who value collaboration and innovation.
At our Group office
Working in our Group office, you have a front row seat to our vision and are a part of the bold, inspired teams who are engineering its success. We’re an agile, entrepreneurial company and we value smart people and creative thinking. Based in the Sydney CBD, our people work with teams located across Australia and Canada, which makes for interesting work and countless ways to learn and grow.
Your benefits
The support to get you started. The agility to keep you moving. Interns are a key part of Evolution’s early careers talent pipeline, with high performers strongly considered for future opportunities in our Graduate Program.
This role will work up to five days a week from December to February 2026, returning to a 2-3 day roster upon recommencement of university, until mid-2026 based in our Sydney office. We understand that flexible work means something different to everyone and encourage you to have a conversation about the flexible work options available.
