This roster is 8 days on and 6 days off with a 12 hour day.

About the Role
This is a hands‑on underground geology role with real ownership and impact. Reporting to the Senior Geologist – Underground, you’ll lead the design and coordination of grade control diamond drilling programs that feed directly into mine planning. It’s a production role, so you’ll be onsite, working closely with planning engineers, drill and blast, geotech, and contractors to keep schedules on track.
What makes this role stand out?
- You’ll manage multiple rigs and drilling contractors in a complex underground environment, not just monitor progress.
- You’ll mentor and develop junior geologists, setting the standard for underground geology work.
- You’ll have a direct line of sight from data collection to block model updates, influencing decisions that matter.
About You
You’re a geologist who thrives underground and enjoys taking ownership of drilling programs. You bring:
- A geology or geoscience degree and at least four years’ post‑graduate experience, including underground hard rock gold.
- Confidence with Deswik or Datamine, Leapfrog, and QAQC processes, plus a current manual driver’s licence.
- Motivation to mentor juniors, solve problems in tight spaces, and work collaboratively with planning and operations.
This is a role where you take the reins on drilling and see the results of your work play out in production.
