Your Role
As a Senior Project Engineer at Kiewit Mexico, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate project execution while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and budget standards. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating engineering tasks, managing project documentation, and ensuring technical solutions are aligned with client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Develop scopes of work, Deliverables lists, Man hour estimates, and schedules for assigned design packages in collaboration with discipline teams and subconsultants
- Support technical risk assessments and ensure mitigation strategies are implemented.
- Lead project meetings, comment resolution processes with external stakeholders, and ensure timely completion of assigned project deliverables
- Oversee project controls inputs such as progress reporting, forecasting, and cost tracking for designated work packages and/or subcontracts.
- Develop month-end reporting activities, including project indices, risk log, financial metrics, accruals, and cost analysis
- Maintains attention to detail and proactively addresses discrepancies while ensuring alignment with the project strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field - PMP Certification is a plus
- 10 -15 years of engineering experience, preferably in the construction or project management sector
- Understands engineering discipline activities and work processes
- Strong knowledge of engineering interdisciplinary dependencies
- May bring particular strength in specific market.
- Experienced in supporting pursuits, front-end work and EPC execution
- Experience supporting construction or commissioning activities
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
