Job Description
Ensure De Beers customer account plans are relevant, up to date and aligned across Global Sight holder Sales, to create a consolidated view of each relevant De Beers customer account. Create a consolidated view of opportunities and constraints against objectives based on Key Account Manager (KAM) produced Account Plans. Maintain customer and product segmentation maps, which together with Account Plans will inform decisions on customer prioritisation and target-setting. Monitor progress against Account Plan targets and track outcomes on an ongoing basis
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Ensure that Account Plans are relevant, up to date, with clear SMART objectives that identify opportunities and risks across Global Sight holder Sales.
- Formal feedback process and review to provide SVP Sales and the Sales Committee with insights, priorities and progress against targets
- Develop metrics by which Account Plans and segmentation will be monitored (may be different by account) which will include sales projections and forecasts of customer and customer’s customer, financial modelling, regional distribution changes, business models changes, alignment with financial compliance
- Track progress against Account Plans and inform Sales and Product Planning so that Sales Planning and Product Planning can identify opportunities and problem areas in Account Plan strategy and re-optimise accounts as necessary to ensure agreed actions are met in accordance with the timelines in place
- Ensure corporate governance requirements in technical, assurance, occupational health and safety, and environment are in place for projects and all staff (contract and permanent) and that equipment complies with governance, safety, and security standards and policies.
- Liaise with relevant management functions to ensure all relevant governance and assurance protocols are observed
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
- Undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) Finance, Accounting in a relevant technical discipline, e.g. Business Management or proven track record of practical experience in a role and context of similar
- 5+ year’s experience in a Business environment
- Proven experience of delivering insights and recommendations derived using mathematical, statistical and business intelligence software
- Proven experience and ability to process and consolidate large volumes of data
- Demonstrated experience in implementation of customer segmentation through utilisation of complex tools
- Demonstrated ability to work across boundaries and cross-functionally
- Experience in governance rules and competition law
Knowledge And Skills
- Knowledge of business intelligence software
- Expertise in account planning and segmentation strategies
- Diamond Market knowledge advantageous
- Detailed understanding of customer base including pipeline dynamics, strategic awareness
- Commercial/ Financial nous
- Strategic awareness, channel mix strategy, governance rules/competition law.
- Proven ability to work independently with a strong sense of self-motivation and effective self-management skills.
Soft Skills
- Communicates clearly and effectively while maintaining strong focus on accuracy
- Strong analytical skills including visualization, solving complex problems and articulating solutions
- Ability to work across boundaries and cross-functionally, commercial
