About the Role
Reporting to the Lead Reward – Minerals America, this role executes operational reward activities (cyclical and business-as-usual) that sit within the Reward Operations (RO) remit and other ad hoc Reward activities necessary to support the business in general and may vary depending on the pillar/asset assignment.
The role requires analysis, process improvement and proactively challenge the status quo. You are expected to connect and provide support with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that processes are aligned and within the BHP Reward Policies and Framework.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support in Reward Opertion’s regular operational activities such as case management, job grading, remuneration and benefits administration relative.
- Following the RO's Support model, support for inquiries and other Reward related queries. Where needed, provide references to internal or external salary data, and provide additional insights on applicable local entity policies and well- established market practices
- Supports the organization's benefit programs as applicable or as assigned (e.g. leave, wellness programs, insurance etc.), including but not limited to managing vendor relationships, benefits enrolment, contract renewals, contract compliance, and distribution processes.
- May act as workstream lead and/or support cyclical and adhoc projects, including but not limited to ARR (Annual Reward Review), Labor Budget Assumption (LBA), Market Data Supports the continuous improvement culture in RO and propose initiatives to RO process, consistent with best practices .
- Adhere to BHP values by demonstrating the same in the workplace, displaying professionalism and respect, and ensuring compliance to Company policies.
- Ability to process high volume, clearly defined transactions.
- Provide support on emerging tasks and ad hoc initiatives aligned with the strategic goals of HR Operations.
About You
- Knowledge of process automation and analysis tools is highly desirable (i.e. Power BI, Power Apps)
- MS Office Excel proficient and was exposed to high volume of data analysis. (i.e. Power Query, Macros)
- With experience on process improvement.
- Problem solving by finding the root cause
- Comfortable to take the lead, proactively seek clarity and drive for outcomes when things are unclear.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver work through others, utilizing a diverse set of skills and experiences to achieve the objective.
- Can think strategically (see the big picture and connect dots) but also able to keep things simple and comfortable to work in detail where required.
- Ability to identify and understand different stakeholders and their needs, influence others and work collaboratively to get aligned outcomes.
- Inquisitive in nature, strong attention to detail and determination to deliver.
- Being flexible and adaptable and find new ways of solving challenges
- Learning agility able to grasp new concepts quickly and be able to apply immediately
- Degree or equivalent education or experience preferred.
- Fluent Spanish and English (spoken and written)
