Specialist – Maintenance Analysis and Administration
About The Role
Reporting to the Superintendent – Maintenance Planning, the
Specialist – Maintenance Analysis and Administration will be responsible for providing support in effective planning, monitoring, and continuous improvement of maintenance activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring asset reliability, data accuracy, and compliance with maintenance standards, to support the Fixed Plant Maintenance department at New Porgera Limited.
The Ideal Candidate Must Have
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in maintenance analysis, administration, or asset management
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail
- Experience in SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel or CMMS/EAM systems and maintenance planning tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with maintenance planners, supervisors and engineers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in mining operation
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain maintenance reports, dashboards, and performance metrics (KPIs)
- Support maintenance planning and scheduling through accurate data management
- Administer maintenance systems (e.g. SAP/Oracle/CMMS/EAM), ensuring data integrity and compliance
- Coordinate documentation, procedures, and records related to maintenance activities
- Assist in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to optimize asset performance
- Support continuous improvement of Maintenance Administration and reporting processes within Fixed Plant Maintenance.
- Maintain a high level of health, safety and environmental awareness and comply with all relevant NPL policies & procedures
Mobilisation Requirement
- This position is open to PNG Citizens Only.
- Rotation is FIFO, 21 days on / 14 days off.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
- Must hold a valid Police Clearance Certificate (issued within the last 6 months).
