Reporting to the Rock Engineer and is accountable to provide strata control services and support as well as implement and apply strata control measures within the assigned area of responsibility.
Scan Line Mapping for structural analyses, generation of geotechnical order for the work required, effective service delivery, conduct panel support audits through measuring, Conducting TARP visits and Routine Rock Engineering visits, inspect white areas for ground integrity and apply Rock Engineering criteria including observing geology, monitoring ground conditions, and determining relevant mining practices
Investigate underground instability issues and fall of ground incidents.
Manage and assist Rock Engineering personnel, conducting support audits, quality control and GPR scans
Provide Rock engineering leading indicators through routine monthly visits and reports.
Participate in rock engineering projects as assigned by the Rock engineering Manager
Participate in Safety and Rock engineering campaigns as initiated by the operation.
Compliance with the company’s HSEC system is essential, ensuring implementation of management decisions, legal requirements, and the company standards/policies.
