Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Supervisor, Process Plant, you will be part of the Process Plant Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Verify equipment, clean and perform inspection, in a secure manner;
- Manage mixing and distribution systems of the following chemicals: Flocculant and Lead Nitrate;
- Maintain a clear communication with the process controller;
- Maintain in good order the cyclone feed sampler;
- Filter the sample from the sampler at the end of the shift;
- Provide assistance to mechanics during shut down jobs;
- Perform lockout and tag out on various equipment;
- Inspect the circuit to detect any abnormalities or defective equipment;
- Fill reports relating to work area;
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment;
- Operate overhead crane and some mobile equipment;
- Report all accidents to supervisor;
- Perform any other duties required by the Supervisor.
What You Need To Succeed
- High School Diploma or equivalent with demonstrated experience;
- Post Secondary Diploma in mineral treatment is considered an asset;
- 2 years of experience in a mineral processing role within a Process Plant environment;
- Valid Driver’s License is considered an asset.
Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
