Job Purpose
- Manage & Lead fabrication Section to develop, implement and continually improve workshop maintenance activities in accordance with daily, weekly and monthly maintenance plans, to achieve CWS Objectives & Job volume safely with the highest reliability.
- Meet Maaden Workshop needs safely, at the right time and at the optimum cost through qualified personnel and tools and provide the needed support and guidance to superordinate’s to achieve department objectives.
- Engage with aera management to ensure resources availability and meet all the sites needs in the plant safely and timely.
Key Accountabilities
EHSS Compliance
- Comply with all EHSS regulations.
- Having knowledge of MSHEMS and being familiar with specific responsibilities related to position and Esurance of full compliance.
- Implementation of EHSS performance and awareness during day-to-day activities.
- Comply with EHSS policies and M-SHEM procedures and contribute to achieving target Zero incidents rate as well as quality procedures, accountable for all subordinates’ safety compliance and leading assigned safety investigation or analysis.
People and Organization
- Establish Development Plans for all employees as per performance objective output and competency Gap Analysis to achieve shop objectives with efficient and optimized methods and ensure the implementation.
- Provide overall guidance in solving problems.
- Motivate and build teamwork.
- Generate the Team Business Objectives & goals aligning with CWS maintenance Business Objectives.
- Manage the activities of assigned personnel in the section with respect to site regulations.
- Participate in the meetings and engage in each site to discuss, coordinate and plan work.
Production, Reliability & Integrity
- Ensures quality standards and maintenance records are maintained and proper procedures and practices are implemented to improve effectiveness.
- Monitor monthly Workshop maintenance KPI’s at plant level to address major identified gaps, Effective participation in the respective unit business team as maintenance workshop focal.
- Track the workshop planned PM’s and CM’s execution to achieve Zero overdue and meet schedule attainment and set KPI’s.
- Participate in Planning preparation, coordination, lead execution, quality checks, and following up on findings.
- 100% quality filling of Work orders.
- Strive continuously in improving efficiency of the section with respect to sites/affiliates’ regulations.
- Lead on the continuity of services on a 24-hour basis if needed for all sites.
- Ensure that the proper supervision, handover and completion of any work carried out is done for all sites.
- Review logbooks, coordinate leave schedules, shift schedules and weekend standby duties to ensure adequate coverage during silent hours with respect to sites regulations.
- Generate monthly report highlighting major maintenance activities for all sites.
- Follow up and evaluate critical or complex jobs and set priorities.
- Carry out regular inspection tours to Workshops sites to review service performance and participate in improving reliability of equipment.
Cost Effectiveness
- Participates effectively in Implementing Assets Maintenance Work Process.
- Performs managerial duties and exercises of financial authority at the level established by management for the position.
- Participate in budgeting and review for shop and monitoring expenditure for the section.
- Review variances of actual and budgeted expenditure and ensures that all expenditures are properly charged to appropriate work orders or cost centers.
- Review timely submission & approve monthly timesheet for long and short manpower contractor employees. Approve timely submission of all related services invoices.
Other Accountability
- Sharing and clarifying services processes, conditions & details with management, business partners & employees. Reviewing services contracts, verifying accuracy & resolving discrepancies in line with workshop rules and guidelines. Actively manage and support Lean process improvement projects and follow standard work protocol.
- Performs other duties such as ensuring validation, training, safety, contingency plans, emergency evacuation drill/plan, statutory regulations, loss prevention, housekeeping and hygiene, incident/accident investigation/reporting/complying with respect to sites regulations.
- Other tasks assigned by Manager, time to time.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience And Competencies

- Diploma in related field.
