About The Role
Are you curious about how companies communicate with investors, analyze financial performance, and shape market confidence? Do you want hands-on experience at the intersection of finance, communications, and the mining industry? Join IAMGOLD’s Investor Relations team and support how the company shares its story of financial strength, operational progress, and long-term growth with the global investment community.
As an Investor Relations Intern, you’ll help produce key corporate materials, support earnings-related activities, and contribute to market analysis. Reporting to the Vice President, Investor Relations, you’ll collaborate with teams across Finance, Operations, Exploration, Communications, People, and Corporate Affairs while growing your analytical, communication, and business insight skills.
The Internship is from May 4, 2026 to August 28, 2026.

What You’ll Do
- Investor Communications & Reporting
- Draft and edit investor-facing materials—including press releases, presentations, fact sheets, and key messages.
- Maintain the editorial calendar and ensure timely updates to all IR materials.
- Summarize investor inquiries and assist in drafting responses under supervision.
- Support the preparation of Q&A documents for earnings calls, investor meetings, and analyst interactions.
- Shareholder & Market Monitoring
- Maintain databases of investor contacts, interactions, and engagement history.
- Track analyst reports, shareholder activity, market sentiment, and sector commentary.
- Monitor news and developments affecting IAMGOLD and the broader mining industry.
- Event & Meeting Coordination
- Assist in planning and executing investor events such as quarterly earnings calls, town halls, conferences, and site visits.
- Prepare event materials, including agendas, presentations, meeting briefs, and participant lists.
- Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person engagements.
- Financial & Market Analysis Support
- Gather and analyze financial data, commodity trends, and market intelligence relevant to the mining sector.
- Prepare summary reports, charts, and supporting materials for internal teams and investors.
- Support benchmarking exercises against peer companies.
Key Skills & Knowledge
What You Bring
- Currently pursuing a post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
- Experience or interest in the mining industry, capital markets, or financial communications is an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interpret financial information and understand economic/market trends.
- Exceptional accuracy, detail orientation, and follow-through.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize information clearly.
- Well-organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Professional, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a people-focused environment (e.g., internships, student leadership, volunteer roles) is an asset.
- Working proficiency in French (spoken or written) is an asset.

Salary Range: $18.25 - $29.34
