About The Role
Are you passionate about sustainability, ESG, and the future of responsible mining? Looking for meaningful, hands on experience that connects environmental and social performance with global reporting standards? Join IAMGOLD as a Sustainability Reporting Intern and gain practical exposure to ESG research, disclosures, materiality analysis, and the implementation of sustainability reporting tools.
Reporting to the ESG Reporting & Governance Lead, you’ll support the development of our corporate sustainability practices while building valuable skills in analysis, data management, reporting frameworks, and stakeholder engagement. This is a great opportunity for a motivated student interested in corporate sustainability, ESG strategy, or responsible business.
The Internship is from May 4, 2026 to August 28, 2026.

What You’ll Do
Conduct Research & Analysis
- Monitor ESG megatrends and key developments in sustainability and the mining industry.
- Conduct peer benchmarking to assess governance, performance, and disclosure practices.
- Summarize updates on emerging reporting standards (e.g., IFRS S1 & S2, CSDS).
Support Gap Assessments
- Assist in evaluating performance and disclosure gaps against leading standards.
- Contribute to recommendations that strengthen sustainability reporting and alignment.
- Support assurance reviews that compare IAMGOLD’s policies to external frameworks (e.g., OECD, UNGP).
ESG Reporting Software Implementation (Phase 2)
- Support the configuration and implementation of an ESG reporting software tool.
- Help ensure system alignment with data, reporting, and governance needs.
Materiality Review
- Support the consolidation and analysis of stakeholder survey results.
- Assist with documentation and notetaking during materiality workshops.
Key Skills & Knowledge
What You Bring
- Currently completing an undergraduate or postgraduate education in Sustainability, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Awareness of sustainability and mining-related frameworks (e.g., CSDS, TSM, CMSI) is an asset.
- Strong research, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Adaptive, curious, and comfortable working both independently and in a collaborative team.

Salary Range: $18.25 - $29.34
