Your impact
As a Heavy Duty Mechanic (part time), you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety and performance of Newmont’s expanding CAT haulage and ancillary fleet at Boddington.
As part of our team you will
• Perform maintenance and servicing of heavy mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Maximise planned and scheduled maintenance while minimising unplanned downtime
• Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance across CAT haulage and ancillary equipment
• Utilise CAT SIS, VIMS, and CAT ET systems to support condition monitoring and maintenance decision-making
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, documentation and compliance
• Actively contribute to a strong safety culture by identifying hazards and applying safe work practices
• Work collaboratively with your crew to support reliable and productive operations
• Use of the newly implemented digital service sheet program ZoneMaintenance
Prerequisites for your success in the role
• Trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic
• Demonstrated experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment, ideally CAT 793F trucks
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and preventive maintenance capability
• Experience with CAT SIS, VIMS, CAT ET and SAP systems (highly regarded)
• Strong commitment to safety and risk management
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and high personal integrity
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and lead by example
