About Cadia
Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent Exploration Cadia to lead the effective planning and execution of site-based exploration programs. This role is critical in delivering high-quality geological outcomes that support business commitments, resource development and long-term value creation.
As a people leader, you will foster a safe, inclusive and high-performing team culture while working collaboratively across technical, operational and external stakeholder groups. You will balance technical excellence with strong execution discipline, ensuring exploration programs are delivered safely, sustainably and in line with regulatory and reporting requirements.
In this role, you will:
- Plan and execute detailed annual exploration programs aligned to business objectives and commitments
- Ensure exploration activities comply with environmental, social and regulatory constraints
- Provide high-quality geological interpretations and models to support targeting and resource development
- Coordinate and integrate exploration workflows with mine technical services and operational teams
- Monitor performance against KPIs, adapting short-term programs in response to results and conditions
- Apply and continuously improve standards, SOPs and work practices
- Lead statutory, QP and annual exploration reporting requirements
- Build strong internal and external partnerships, including drilling, analytical providers, community and government stakeholders
- Lead, coach and develop a team in a values-driven, inclusive environment
You are a technically strong and commercially aware exploration leader who thrives in complex operational environments. You bring a structured, data-informed approach to decision-making and are comfortable balancing competing priorities.
You will have:
- A professional degree in Geological Science or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in exploration management and program delivery
- Experience across a diverse range of exploration applications, including greenfields and near-mine exploration, with exposure to mine geology in both open pit and underground environments.
- Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance and reporting requirements (NSW highly regarded)
- Advanced capability in designing exploration programs and managing portfolios
- Experience analysing complex datasets and translating insights into clear recommendations
- Proficiency with geological and data visualisation tools (e.g. resource modelling software, PowerBI, Tableau or similar)
- Well-developed leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with a relevant professional body
