Job description:
Purpose of the Role:
- The role of the Instrumentation Trainer Assessor is to train, assess and where necessary offer support to learners engaged in Instrumentation engineering courses.
- Conduct Instrumentation training and development of activities aimed at improving the performance of the business by improving performance of employees through enhancing of knowledge and skills of Instrumentation technicians on the mine site
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting training needs assessment
- Liaising with management to ensure that training schedules align with operational needs.
- Scheduling training events in INX-InTuition.
- Accurately assess skills, abilities and knowledge to determine competence levels
- Develop relevant, value-adding training material in accordance with FQM Trident Standards and training curriculum.
- Develops teaching aids, such as training handbooks, demonstration models, computer tutorials, and reference works.
- Ensuring training objectives are met and daily activity training report Submitted
- Facilitate relevant training interventions, skills and knowledge transfer
- Measure trainees progress and evaluate effectiveness of the training.
- Conducting planned task observations [PTOs].
- Analyze feedback and improve training programme as required
- Monitor and report on training projects and the improvement of training initiatives
- Manage both physical and electronic training records.
- Conduct theory and practical assessments in line with the assessment guideline.
- Ensure issuance of relevant certifications.
Operational Requirements
- Run daily training activities.
- Prepare daily training reports.
- Support Instrumentation maintenance personnel in their operational roles.
- Initiate and be involved in Technical Training’s cost reduction and improvements.
- Maintain good working relations with different section heads.

Experience & Qualifications:
- Full grade 12 School certificate
- Minimum qualification of Craft Certificate in Instrumentation or equivalent.
- Certificate/Diploma in Technical Teaching or Teaching Methodology or equivalent
- Industrial Electronics /Electrical Diploma would be an added advantage
- 3 Years Working Experience and knowledge in the same or similar position
- Training professional registered with TEVETA
- Valid drivers’ License
- EIZ/ERB Membership
- All qualifications must be certified by ZAQA
