Position: Accounts Payable (AP) Supervisor
Reports to: Chief Accountant
Location: Rouyn-Noranda, QC
Role Overview/Purpose
Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the AP Supervisor is responsible for the payable process for the Island Gold Division. The AP Supervisor will administer the daily invoice management process for AP Clerks, ensuring that invoices are processed in an accurate and timely manner. This person will over see the payroll team of 3-4 personnel.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage daily invoice processing for AP Clerks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare cheque runs, wires, and EFTs to clear AP
- Ensure invoice approvals and proper period recording
- Prepare reconciliations and review journal entries
- Assign priorities and tasks to AP team; resolve supplier and internal issues
- Facilitate contractor holdbacks and administer lease payments, PO prepayments, and credits
- Organize supplier and EFT setup/approval; verify and investigate discrepancies
- Oversee and approve Accounts Receivable journal entries
- Ensure adherence to Delegation of Authority and compliance standards
- Support digital transformation of AP processes
- Initiate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end AP processes
- Perform other related duties
