Your Impact
As a Specialist, SAP Security, you will be Newmont’s subject matter expert for SAP security. You will safeguard the integrity of our SAP ecosystem by managing access controls, preventing security risks, strengthening compliance, and driving improvements across our global platforms. Your work directly ensures secure, reliable, and compliant business operations.
As Part of Our Team, You Will
- Lead daily SAP security operations, resolving incidents, service requests, and access-related issues.
- Manage user provisioning, de-provisioning, and periodic access reviews.
- Design, maintain, and enforce robust role-based access control (RBAC) and segregation of duties (SoD).
- Collaborate with IAM, GRC, Capacity Services, and SAP functional teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
- Support SAP upgrades, cloud migrations, and vulnerability management (patching, assessments, remediation).
- Develop performance dashboards and KPIs to monitor service levels and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain SAP security standards, governance processes, and audit documentation.
- Mentor and guide SAP security professionals while fostering continuous learning and operational excellence.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of hands-on SAP Security experience across complex global environments.
- Deep knowledge of SAP access control, user administration, RBAC, SoD, and audit/compliance frameworks (GDPR, SOX, HIPAA).
- Proficiency in SAP GRC, SAP IDM, SAP SSO, SAP Cloud Identity (IAS/IPS/IAG), and automation tools.
- Experience securing platforms such as S/4HANA, BPC, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, and SAP BTP.
- Familiarity with security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners (e.g., Onapsis), and performance monitoring dashboards.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and experience creating metrics for service level adherence.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to lead or support SAP security resources and guide process improvements.
- Ability to travel internationally as required; English required, Spanish or Dutch an asset.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $106,200- 148,680. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
