Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Supervisor, Energy and Infrastructure, you will be part of the Energy & Infrastructure Department. You wiill ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of Heating and ventilation system;
- Install, repair and maintain heating and ventilation fixtures and systems;
- Proceed with sampling and circuit adjustment to ensure best heat transfer for site;
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and other related devices;
- Record and report all data for heating system on site;
- Applies the adequate procedure(s), rules and regulations;
- Optimize heat recovery by continuously improving and maintaining the heating system.
What You Need To Succeed
- Qualified Oil Burner Technician with OBT1 or Red Seal ticket;
- Maintenance and operation on oil-fired equipment up to 71 GPH;
- Experience with commercial/industrial HVAC systems;
- 2- 5 years of experience in the mechanical field;
- Mining experience is considered an asset.
Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
