Your Impact
As an Analyst, Payment Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of vendor payments and employee expense reimbursements. Your work will directly support stable financial operations, strong internal controls, and positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders across Newmont’s global operations.
As Part of Our Team, You Will
Process payments for goods and services in accordance with contract terms, company policies, and defined SLAs
Perform invoice validation and reconciliation against purchase orders and supporting documentation prior to payment processing
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries in collaboration with Procurement and cross-functional teams
Execute Travel & Expense (T&E) claim reviews, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate reimbursement
Support month-end activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting inputs as required
Monitor and contribute to key performance indicators such as:
Payment accuracy and error rates
Invoice and T&E processing cycle times
Backlog and aging of open items
Identify process inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and productivity
Prepare and maintain documentation to support internal controls, audit requirements, and compliance (SOX)
Manage and respond to ServiceNow tickets or user inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency is required
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Experience or knowledge in Accounts Payable, Payment Processing, or T&E processes
Familiarity with SAP (MM/AP) and expense management systems (e.g., Concur), Ariba
Understanding of basic accounting principles and internal controls (SOX)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve issues independently
Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Your Work Environment
You will be part of Newmont’s Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Costa Rica, within the Finance function
The role involves collaboration with global stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, IT, and Supply Chain
Hybrid work model with an initial on-site phase to support onboarding and team integration
Day or Night shift availability depending on business needs
