Role Overview
As the
Warehouse Lead Hand, you will be responsible for coordinating the day‑to‑day movement of materials within the warehouse and ensuring efficient issuance, receiving, inventory control, and shipping of materials for mill, surface, and underground departments. Reporting into site supply chain leadership, you will lead and support Warehouse Technicians and Runners, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Material Flow: Coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure timely flow of materials from storage locations to end users, including stock transfers to underground and satellite storage areas.
Inventory & SAP Management: Manage material reservations, cataloguing of spare parts and consumables in SAP, coordinate inventory counts, and support month‑end inventory procedures.
Receiving, Shipping & Repairs: Assist with unloading and receiving materials using forklifts, coordinate outgoing repairs and warranty shipments, and ensure shipping and receiving activities meet procedural and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership & Coordination: Assign and coordinate work for Warehouse Technicians and Runners, provide mentorship and guidance, and support a cooperative, team‑focused work environment.
Shortage & Expediting Support: Monitor stock levels, escalate shortages to purchasing or expediting teams, and support follow‑up on delivery timelines.
Continuous Improvement & Special Projects: Identify opportunities for improvement within warehouse operations and assist with special projects as required.
What You Bring To The Table
- High school diploma with related post‑secondary training.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or materials management roles.
- Solid knowledge of shipping, receiving, and warehouse procedures and regulations.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification (required).
- Experience with mining equipment, parts, and consumables considered an asset.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP considered an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to guide and support a team.

Working Conditions
- Rotational schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off.
- Rotating day and night shifts.
- Combination of indoor warehouse work and occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Travel & Accommodation

Salary range: $54,250 – $88,750 CAD
