Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be part of the Finance Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Maintain financial reports, records and general ledger accounts;
- Prepare journal entries and associated calculations such as month-end accrued expenses and cost allocation;
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations;
- Respond to information requests and support financial statements reviews;
- Comply with internal controls, policies and procedures;
- Participate in annual and quarterly audits with internal and external auditors, which involves preparing required supporting documents;
- Assist the controller as needed.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance;
- Professional accounting designation or working towards designation is considered a strong asset;
- 0-2 years of relevant experience;
- Mining experience is considered an asset;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Note that the official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A combination of tele-working with presence at our offices in either Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda or Mirabel, QC. Occasional visits to site may also be required.
