About The Role
We are actively searching for a Continuous Improvement Specialist. Reporting to the Manager, Operational Excellence, the CI Specialist/Coordinator supports the mine and/or mill operations in identifying, executing, and sustaining improvement opportunities. The role collects and analyzes operational data, develops KPI dashboards, coaches frontline teams on OE tools, and delivers projects that improve safety, productivity, cost, and stability.
This position is located at our Cote Gold Mine Site on a 7/7 or 14/14 rotation.
Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and analyze production, maintenance, and cost data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards (e.g., OEE, throughput, recovery, availability) and align definitions and targets with site strategy and budget.
- Plan and execute CI initiatives (Kaizen, standard work, 5S, SMED, problem‑solving) in partnership with operations.
- Build and document CI business cases, charters, actions, and expected benefits; track progress and outcomes in IDHall.
- Lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and monitor effectiveness and sustainment.
- Coach supervisors and frontline teams on OE tools and routines (daily huddles, tiered meetings, visual management).
- Conduct Gemba walks to capture improvement ideas and support evaluation and prioritization with operational leaders.
- Partner with Systems Administration and Finance to validate realized benefits and support accurate reporting and OE reviews.
Job Qualifications
Key Skills & Knowledge:
- Diploma or degree in engineering, metallurgy, business, or related field.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent) is an asset; willingness to pursue certification.
Relevant Experience
- Mining or heavy industry experience preferred.
- 2–7 years in operations, maintenance, or CI-related roles; student/entry-level pathways may be available.
- Experience building dashboards and performing data analysis to support decision-making.
Skills & Strengths, We Value
- Well-organized; able to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; effective at frontline engagement.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI; familiarity with IDHall or similar initiative management systems.

Salary Range: $89,000-$133,500 + bonus
