Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Exploration Coordinator, you will be part of the Ontario Regional Exploration Team and have a vital role in advancing exploration across all Ontario Regional Exploration properties. You will ensure that all goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental responsibilities.
- Log and interpret drill core to company standards, providing consistent geological interpretations to support exploration targeting;
- Plan and conduct fieldwork including mapping, prospecting, and sampling to advance project objectives;
- Assist exploration coordinators with drill planning and provide geological monitoring and feedback during active drilling;
- Contribute to geological interpretation and targeting discussions by integrating drill, field, and analytical results;
- Prepare basic geological summaries, logs, and figures to support internal reporting and project reviews;
- Work collaboratively with geologists, technicians, GITs, and contractors, helping maintain consistent standards and effective workflows;
- Maintain safe work practices and comply with Agnico Eagle’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Cultural policies.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering; post‑graduate degree considered an asset;
- Registered as a Professional Geologist (P.Geo.) or Geologist in Training (GIT) in Canada;
- Core logging or exploration experience considered an asset;
- Experience with a range of deposit and mineralization styles;
- Working knowledge of core logging software, GIS, and Microsoft Office applications;
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with ability to work independently or in a team;
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment;
- Valid driver’s license.
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 8 days of work, followed by 6 days for transportation and rest;
- Travel allowance is provided;
- Based in Dobie, near Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
