Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Critical Infrastructure General Supervisor, you will be part of the Environment & Critical Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the Mine Site Closure Project is well structured and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Baseline Planning
- Develop a work breakdowns structure (WBS) for Meadowbank closure and reclamation
- Establish, standardize and maintain coding structures aligned across WBS, document control, budget and accounting systems
- Develop and standardize progress measurement units linked to the WBS
- Define and track earned value / progress measurement methods appropriate for reclamation activities
Cost & progress control
- Update cost structures based on WBS and based on existing budgets and cost estimates.
- Develop/update cost estimation process for Asset Retirement Obligation (AROs) updates
- Develop and implement structure and process to track cost and physical progress
- Develop and implement process for Estimate at Completion (EAC) updates and budget forecasts
- Track and analyze cost variances, cost drivers, and trends
Change Management
- Develop and implement structure, processes and workflows for change management, including: change identification, change evaluation, approval, impact quantification on cost, schedule and AROs
- Develop change documentation (register) process
- Maintain baseline change history and traceability for audits and review
Reporting
- Prepare management dashboards for cost, schedule, and ARO status
- Prepare reports and implement reporting process (Monthy, Quaterly & annual reporting)
- Ensure available support for internal and external audits, and develop process for updates
Other
- Train project and site personnel on controls processes and requirement
- Complete various projects assigned by the General Supervisor Critical Infrastructures.
What You Need To Succeed
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- 7-10 years of experience in project control and project management
- 5 years of experience in mining or construction
- PMP certification or equivalent
- Experience in with finance and accounting
- Experience in major projects management and controls
- Strong proficiency of project controls: budgets, schedules, change management, and reporting
Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.
Your Work Schedule
- 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday. Occasional visits to site will be required.
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
