About the Job:
The Warehouse Expeditor will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of materials, supplies, parts, and consumables in support of mining operations at the Rochester Mine. This role ensures inventory accuracy, timely material availability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. The position follows a progressive framework (Technician 3-6), allowing employees to advance through demonstrated performance, knowledge, and skill development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist all internal and external customers in a respectful and cordial manner.
- Data entry to include, receiving documents, parts issues, and cycle counts as determined by process needs.
- Research inventory and non-inventory items in warehouse area and outlying inventory locations; track locations in Oracle.
- Operate forklift(s), hoist, pickup, snow blower, and pallet jack.
- Process incoming freight ensuring accuracy of orders and deliveries.
- Fill work orders and move orders; deliver parts as needed.
- Clean and organize warehouse for mine events
- May be required to do local area parts runs and prepare outgoing shipments.
- Provide escorts to various mine locations ensuring vendor and Rochester employee’s safety.
- Assist Warehouse Supervisor and Inventory Coordinator with all aspects of warehousing and other duties as needed.
- Assist buyers with open purchase order reports and follow-up on backorders.
Required Qualifications & Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate clearly (verbally and in writing) with all mine site personnel.
- Prior warehouse, logistics, or inventory management experience (progressively more required for higher technician levels).
- MSHA certification or ability to obtain.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts, telehandlers, lift trucks).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate clearly (verbally and in writing) with all mine site personnel.
- Sets high standards for self and others, builds trust, and takes accountability.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Post-secondary education or certifications.
- Proficiency with Oracle or comparable ERP systems.
Additional Information:
- Hourly Rate Range: $36.00 - $42.33 (DOE)
- Quarterly bonus up to $4,100 (up to $16,400 annually)
