Senior Officer, Item Master Data Analyst
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To own, manage, and analyse the Kamoa Item Master and ensure all data flows into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to reduce stockholding. The incumbent supervises a team of cataloguers to ensure the "Golden Record" of inventory data is maintained according to standards.
You will have the following:
- Must have a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics Management/ Business Analytics/Industrial Engineering Data Science / Information Systems
- Must have at least 5 years relevant experience in a data analyst role, in the mining supply chain environment
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience supervising a technical team
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered highly advantageous.
Technical Skills should include:
- MSOffice (Excel) or equivalent
- Analysis of data and information
- Report writing skills
- JDEdwards (Oracle), SAP, OrbFusion
- SQL programming
Role Specific Knowledge:
- ANSI, UNSPSC and Oniqua methodologies and standards
- Understand the supply chain process flows
- ERP systems experience
- Supply chain data analysis and interpretation
- Understanding the mining environment
- Statistics, mathematics, computer science, and financial auditing

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
- Ensure management of the Kamoa Item Master to reduce stockholding and ensure accurate and clean materials records
- Ensure compliance with Kamoa policies and standards
- Manage and maintain the Kamoa Item Master
- Ensure ANSI process oversight
- Be the "gatekeeper" and custodian for the Item Master
- Function as inventory Item Master subject matter expert
- Skills Transfer and Transformation- Support the organisational Skills Transfer agenda
