Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Payroll Coordinator, you will be part of the Finance team. This role is ideal for someone early in their payroll career who is looking to build strong foundational experience in a collaborative, high-volume environment. The Regional Payroll Administrator provides hands-on support to ensure payroll processes are completed accurately and on time, while continuing to build skills and knowledge within the payroll function.
- Support end-to-end payroll processing for multiple payrolls, ensuring data accuracy and integrity;
- Validate employee information including hours worked, earnings, benefits and banking details;
- Prepare earnings information as required;
- Ensure all documentation is processed in accordance with company policies and payroll procedures;
- Meet established payroll deadlines in a timely and accurate manner;
- Identify opportunities for improvement and support enhancements to payroll processes;
- Collaborate with payroll and HR team members and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment;
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality;
- Apply problem-solving skills and sound judgement, with support from the team as needed;
- Perform other duties as required.
What You Need To Succeed
- Minimum 3-years payroll experience;
- Payroll certification progress or relevant post-secondary education is considered an asset;
- Awareness of Payroll and SOX compliance requirements;
- Experience with HRIS, Time and Attendance, and payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Workforce) is an asset;
- Intermediate Excel skills and comfort working with data;
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills;
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Willingness to learn and develop within the payroll function
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Kirkland Lake or Timmins Regional Office. Occasional visits to site may also be required.
