Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the General Supervisor, Ontario Buying Team you will be part of the Regional Procurement Department. You will be responsible for tracking, coordinating, and expediting purchase orders to ensure materials, parts, and services are delivered on time to meet operational requirements. This role works closely with Procurement, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Vendors to proactively identify and resolve delivery issues, minimize delays, and support uninterrupted operations. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Track and monitor purchase orders from placement through delivery;
- Expedite orders by communicating directly with suppliers and vendors;
- Confirm delivery dates, shipping methods, and quantities;
- Follow up on late, incomplete, or incorrect shipments and resolve discrepancies;
- Update internal systems with order status, delivery confirmations, and changes;
- Coordinate with Warehouse and Receiving to ensure timely unloading and documentation;
- Escalate critical delays or issues to Procurement or Operations as required;
- Maintain accurate records and filing related to expediting activities;
- Support inventory control and shutdown/maintenance planning as needed;
- Comply with company safety standards and policies.
What You Need To Succeed
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or Logistics considered an asset;
- Experience in procurement, expediting, logistics, warehouse or a related role preferred;
- Very strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Clear verbal and written communication skills;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); ERP (SAP-JDE) experience an asset;
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. Occasional visits to site may also be required.
- Workplace: A combination of remote work and on-site work at one of our offices in Timmins, Kirkland Lake or Sudbury.
