Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Supervisor, Energy and Infrastructure, you will be part of the Energy and Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Install, maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems across mining camp and facilities;
- Read plans, drawings and specifications to determine layout of HVAC and heat distribution systems;
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues;
- Support operational readiness of new systems;
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical problems in heating and refrigeration systems;
- Ensure compliance with Mine Act and applicable standards;
- Collaborate with other trades and departments to ensure smooth operations.
What You Need To Succeed
- Red Seal certification or equivalent in HVAC/Refrigeration;
- 2-5 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration maintenance in industrial systems;
- Mining experience is an asset;
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems;
- Driver’s license Class 5 or equivalent;
- Physical requirements to perform the job;
- Good work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a team;
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
Note that the official working language at Hope Bay is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 21 days of work, followed by 21 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
