Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Process Plant Superintendent, you will be part of the Process Plant Maintenance Department. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing the maintenance program for the Hope Bay process plant during the project and pre-operational phase. You will ensure that goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Build and structure the Process Plant maintenance program within JDE;
- Create, manage and standardize PM schedules, model work orders and task lists;
- Develop and validate detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all process plant equipment;
- Define spare parts requirements and generate inventory stocking requests;
- Coordinate material receipt, verification, kitting and purchase/order requisitions to support planned maintenance and operational readiness;
- Ensure all parts, materials, tools and equipment required for maintenance are identified and aligned with operational readiness;
- Collect, review, sort and organize technical documentation including manuals, drawings, and parts lists;
- Implement and take ownership of planning and scheduling routines, including status review meetings, backlog management and KPI monitoring;
- Support the transition from project phase to commissioning and operational readiness.
What You Need To Succeed
- College diploma or degree in Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance or a related field, or equivalent experience;
- Significant experience in fixed asset maintenance, preferably within the mining industry;
- Proven experience in maintenance planning and CMMS/ERP system setup; JDE experience is strongly preferred;
- Experience in a project or pre-commissioning environment is considered a strong asset;
- Strong understanding of maintenance work management processes and best practices;
- Highly organized with the ability to manage large volumes of technical information with accuracy;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word;
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs and OEM documentation;
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision and comfortable in a data-intensive, computer-based role.
Note that the official working language at Hope Bay is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: Hybrid, with 7 days of on-site, and 7 days for transportation and rest, followed by 2 weeks on a 5/2 schedule. Eventually transitioning to a 21/21 fly-in-fly-out rotation;
- This role is primarily project-focused and will evolve as the operation transitions toward commissioning and production;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
