Arch Coal Q2 net profit plunges; revises 2011 EPS view
Arch Coal Inc.’s (ACI:News ) second-quarter net income plummeted to $11.1 million or $0.06 per share from $66.2 million or $0.41 per share a year earlier. Excluding charges, adjusted net income for the second quarter of 2011 was $78 million, or $0.44 per share, the company said.
On average, 22 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.60 for the quarter.
