The “International Cyanide Management Code for the Manufacture, Transport and Use of Cyanide in the Production of Gold” (ICMC) had been implemented in 2005 as a voluntary industry program to promote responsible management of cyanide, to enhance the protection of human health and to reduce the potential for environmental impacts.
