BIV: Vancouver miner hunting for precious gems in Arctic

Forget the precious metals market; a British Columbia company is hoping to cash in on rubies and sapphires in Greenland. On Wednesday, Vancouver-based True North Gems Inc. (TSX-V:TGX) reported a favourable pre-feasibility study for its Aappaluttoq ruby and pink sapphire project in the Arctic country.

BIV: Edgewater chasing down Spanish gold

BIV reports: Less than a year has passed since Vancouver junior Edgewater Exploration (TSX-V:EDW) picked up a gold property in Spain and already the company has increased reserves there 400%. On Tuesday, industry veteran and Edgewater president and CEO George Salamis said the company’s Corcoesto property contained some 325,000 ounces of gold in measured and indicated categories, and more than 1.1 million ounces in an inferred category. Zone Resources Inc. adds to its Labrador Trough Iron Project, Quebec

Zone Resources Inc. (Zone) (TSX VENTURE:ZNR) announces that it has acquired an option to earn a 100% interest in the Bob Lake Iron Property, consisting of approximately 7,500 hectares, located in Nunavik, northern Quebec. The property is situated between the Moore-Ross Mountain Property to the north and the Girard Lake Property to the south bringing the total project size to 41,500 hectares in the "Labrador Trough Iron Project".
