Multiple single-cut diamonds, sized from a quarter point to half a point (0.0025-0.005 carats), which were contained in jewellery recently submitted for testing to a Diamond Services laboratory, have been found to be synthetic, greatly expanding the range of goods that can be considered at risk of improper and deceptive disclosure.

With evidence mounting about a surge in the volume of uncut synthetic diamonds entering the marketplace, Diamond Services has announced that it is expanding its synthetic screening service for rough diamonds at its facilities in Hong Kong and New York.

Diamond Services has announced that it will begin offering synthetic diamond screening services directly to the Chinese diamond trade through the facilities in Shanghai of NGGC, the state-owned gem laboratory that is one of the largest grading institutes in China.

Diamond Services Ltd., the Hong Kong-based firm that markets cutting-edge technological solutions to the diamond, gem and jewellery industry and trade, introduced its diamond screening service during the US & International Diamond Week in Israel that takes place this week at the Israel Diamond Exchange.
