Vista Gold Corp. (TSX & NYSE Amex Equities: VGZ) today announced that Midas Gold Corp. has successfully completed an IPO, issuing 12,307,700 common shares of Midas for gross proceeds of Cdn$40 million.

Further to its press release of June 29th, 2011, Pan American Goldfields Ltd. (OTCBB: MXOM) has entered into an agreement with M3 Engineering and Technology Corporation for the execution and completion of a NI 43-101 compliant Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for its 80% owned Cieneguita silver and gold project in Chihuahua state, Mexico.

The Belle Ayr mine near Gillette Wyoming could try again for a chance to mine a nearly 1,700-acre coal lease. The Bureau of Land Management will hold a competitive lease sale on the parcel on Wednesday. It's estimated to contain about 222 million tons of mineable coal.
