Gold miners rise on new bullion high

Shares of South Africa’s gold miners rally as spot gold hits a new high. Spot gold hit $1,601.16 an ounce in earlier trade. Anglo Gold is up 1.8 percent at 312 rand, Gold Fields has gained 1.5 percent to 108.62 rand and DRD Gold is 2.8 percent stronger
