Get a handle on the relative depth of lakes, oceans and oil wells using this illustration by cartoonist xkcd.com.

The oceans cover 75% of the earth surface but much of it is unexplored. The illustration shows why. The depths are great.

Xkcd.com even threw in the trapped Chilean miners, all the way over on the far right.
