KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Foreman, Instrumentation
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To ensure the processing plant instrumentation is well maintained, gives accurate and true readings, and enables the plant to run at optimal levels for the purposes of business continuity. The incumbent leads a small group of artisans, and the scope / portfolio of this role includes maintaining and replacing instrumentation systems, ensuring their operation, and monitoring the processes that the instruments track.
You will have the following:
- Must have a Diploma in Instrumentation or equivalent
- Must be a trade tested Instrument Technician
- Must have at least 8 years relevant experience installing and monitoring instrumentation equipment, working with relevant software
- Must have at least 8 years’ experience working with SCADA and PLC systems, including associated fault-finding and troubleshooting
- Must have at least 3 years supervisory experience
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered highly advantageous.
