Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a proficient Lead Surveyor specializing in Mine Technical II to join
our team. The Lead Surveyor will be responsible for conducting surveys, providing accurate
data for mining operations, and overseeing surveying activities to ensure the efficient and safe
extraction of mineral resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mine
surveying, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high surveying
standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and coordinate surveying activities in mining operations, including surface and
underground surveys.
2. Conduct topographic surveys, volume calculations, and mapping to support mine
planning and development.
3. Utilize surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and drones to collect
accurate data.
4. Ensure compliance with surveying standards, regulations, and safety protocols in
mining environments.
5. Collaborate with mining engineers and geologists to provide survey data for resource
estimation and mine design.
6. Manage surveying equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory.
7. Train and mentor junior surveyors on surveying techniques, equipment operation, and
safety procedures.
8. Analyze survey data, prepare reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Mining Engineering, or related field.
