Deputy Technical Project Director – Electrical – DC Projects!
Earthstream is currently partnered with an international business that delivers large-scale turnkey Data Centre projects, who are looking for an experienced Deputy Tech Director (Electrical) to join the team.
As Deputy Technical Director you will play a key expert role within the Technical Department, coordinating stakeholders, managing technical exchanges with clients, and acting as a trusted technical representative on projects.
Key Responsibilities:
During the Commercial / Tender Phase
For projects with a strong design component, you will be responsible for:
- De-risking projects from a technical standpoint
- Defining study priorities and engineering strategies
- Managing external engineering resources where necessary
- Defining the optimal study path to meet cost, schedule and technical objectives
- Acting as the customer’s trusted technical interlocutor
- Negotiating and contractually qualifying technical aspects of the project
During the Execution Phase
On large-scale or technically critical projects, you may act as Technical Assistant to the Project Director, with responsibilities including:
- Close collaboration with Design Managers
- Identification of technical risks and bottlenecks
- Proposal and implementation of technical solutions
- Involvement throughout the full project lifecycle, from design to commissioning
Your Profile
- Engineering degree, ideally Electrical or equivalent)
- 15+ years of experience in the electrical field
- Recognised technical expert in electrical standards and regulations
- Strong expertise in electrical distribution design
- Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate complex technical topics and multiple stakeholders
- High level of rigor, flexibility, and professional curiosity
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Fluent technical English, enabling effective communication with international partners and clients during tender and project phases
