Reporting to the Coordinator – Apprenticeship and Graduates, you will be responsible for hands-on training program that builds apprentices’ competence in computer hardware, operating systems, networking fundamentals, and workplace applications. You will teach troubleshooting and service-desk practices such as ticketing, documentation, customer support, and escalation procedures to prepare apprentices for real ICT environments.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following :
- Develop and manage the ICT apprenticeship curriculum aligned to workplace needs and competency standards
- Deliver hands-on ICT training (hardware, OS, networking, applications) using labs, demonstrations, and guided practice.
- Assess and verify competence through practical tests/projects and maintain apprentice portfolios and progress records
- Promote cybersecurity and data protection practices (safe computing, access control basics, backups, responsible data handling).
- Coordinate workplace learning and continuous improvement by working with ICT teams/mentors, arranging attachments and updating training based on performance gaps and technology changes
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements: - Grade 12 Full Certificate
- Minimum Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering orNetworks/Telecoms.
- Diploma in Teaching Methodology from a recognised learning institution.
- Valid accreditation with relevant institutions.
- Minimum 2 years’ work experience in a similar role.
