Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Planning General Supervisor, you will be part of the Mill Maintenance (Process Plant) Planning Team. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while committing to operational excellence, safety and continuous improvement, and championing Agnico Eagle’s values, Code of Conduct, and Environment, Health & Safety principles in a dynamic mining environment.
- Prepare weekly schedules for planned work covering all disciplines for the process plant at Macassa by balancing a healthy workload of preventative work orders with corrective work orders based on safety, environment, priority, workforce capacity and criticality to operations factors;
- Manages maintenance workload, and schedules work to match available workforce capacity and equipment availability to avoid operational interruptions and ensure high- priority jobs are performed on time;
- Manage backlog of work orders (monitor, track, review and analyze open work orders) to ensure work order lifecycle times are controlled and work order aging minimized;
- Monitor KPIs for planned work scheduling and execution such as scheduled work compliance, PM compliance, proactive vs reactive work, labor capture (based on time confirmation), backlog work (hrs per discipline or work centre), etc. in the reporting template approved by the process plant leadership and communicate the status to the key stakeholders;
- Lead the facilitation of weekly schedule draft, schedule lock-in and any other meetings (as finalized and agreed upon for the role of scheduler) and utilize feedback captured to update the agenda and ensure the communication is disseminated effectively to the key stakeholders;
- Work in close co-ordination with other functions within the process plant, communicate the necessary information and/or updates with the relevant stakeholders and perform other duties deemed necessary for the business that may be assigned by the leadership team from time to time.
What You Need To Succeed
- Post-secondary education in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience is desirable;
- Proven working experience in SAP or JD Edwards (or a comparable ERP system) is required;
- Professional competency in the use of a scheduling tool such as Prometheus or Arrow is desirable;
- A minimum of 3 years professional experience in maintenance, planning and reliability is required with preference given to candidates with prior experience in mining;
- Competency in Ontario Mining Act and Regulations is desirable;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
