Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Maintenance Planning and Reliability Superintendent, you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Demonstrate visible field leadership and promote a strong safety culture aligned with Agnico Eagle HSE standards and Ontario Mining Regulations;
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across Maintenance, Operations, and technical teams;
- Own and maintain the 1–5-year rolling maintenance plan for all mobile and stationary assets (underground and surface);
- Develop asset lifecycle strategies, replacement plans, and major overhaul schedules aligned with LOM and production forecasts;
- Define multi-year plans for major jobs, shutdowns, PCR/CBM programs, and production-critical work;
- Support the development of long-term OEM and vendor maintenance contracts, including scopes of work, in coordination with the Strategic Sourcing team;
- Develop TCO analyses, AFEs, and business cases for sustaining and growth capital initiatives;
- Build and manage long-term maintenance Capex forecasts, tracking and reporting performance versus plan;
- Develop annual Opex and Capex budgets using a zero-based budgeting approach, lifecycle models, utilization forecasts, mine physicals, and component consumption data;
- Act as the maintenance interface between Projects, Construction, and Operations, ensuring maintainability and reliability requirements are embedded from design through commissioning;
- Establish maintenance plans, BOMs, and task lists in JDE for new mobile and stationary capital assets in coordination with the Reliability Specialists and formally transition them to maintenance planners for execution and ongoing optimization;
- Execute Management of Change (MOC) processes and associated risk assessments for new capital assets;
- Ensure accuracy, governance, and quality of asset master data within the CMMS;
- Standardize maintenance tactics, PM templates, and long-term planning assumptions;
- Generate strategic reports to support leadership decision-making, risk-based prioritization, and EBITDA loss visibility;
- Establish and publish long-term KPIs and dashboards (availability, utilization, MTBF, MTTR, budget vs. forecast);
- Ensure alignment across long-term (1–5 years), medium-term (1 year–3 months), and short-term (monthly to weekly) maintenance planning horizons;
- Coordinate with Operations and Mine Technical Services to assess fleet sizing, replacement timing, and growth requirements;
- Participate in Agnico Eagle Maintenance Planning Communities of Practice (CoP);
- Provide backfill support for Mobile or Stationary Planners & Schedulers as required.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mining Engineering (or equivalent experience);
- 8+ years of experience in mining maintenance, with 5+ years in maintenance planning, reliability, or asset management roles;
- P.Eng. designation is considered an asset;
- Strong experience with CMMS (JDE);
- Proven experience in lifecycle planning, shutdown planning, and contractor/OEM management;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel required; SQL and Power BI are considered assets);
- Strong knowledge of statistical, probabilistic, and economic engineering tools, including NPV, payback, and economic evaluation of alternatives.

- Schedule: 4/3 schedule (Monday to Thursday) at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
