Your Impact
As a Specialist, Business Planning Ops and Insights, you will support business planning and cost management by delivering analysis and insights that help leaders make informed decisions. Your work will strengthen planning discipline, improve cost transparency, and connect operational drivers to financial outcomes.
As Part of Our Team, You Will
- Coordinate and execute key control processes for operational and technical assumptions in planning processes
- Support the annual budget and business planning cycles with analysis and insights.
- Support costing systems, including Xeras.
- Analyze financial performance, trends, and operational drivers to assess future impacts.
- Translate financial data and models into clear insights for senior leaders.
- Partner with Technical Services and other stakeholders to support planning and cost governance.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, data quality, and decision support.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Geological, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or related certification (e.g. CPA, CFA)
- Prior experience working in mining operations is strongly preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience in business planning, financial analysis, or cost management.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Experience working with planning or costing systems (SAP/BPC, Xeras preferred).
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Your Work Environment
- This is an individual contributor role within Finance, working closely with cross-functional partners in a large, global organization. The role operates within established planning systems and governance frameworks, with a strong focus on collaboration, data quality, and safety.
- The preferred location for candidates is near our corporate headquarters, in Denver, Colorado; however highly qualified candidates near our regional offices, or any of our site locations, will be considered.
- Collaboration and interaction are expected with teams across the global, regional, and site organization as well as across other service and operational areas of Newmont across multiple time zones.
- The listed salary range applies to positions based in Colorado. Compensation may vary for candidates hired in other locations.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $106,200- 141,600. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
