About The Role
We are seeking a highly capable
Senior Advisor in Value Chain Management to play a pivotal role in optimising the sustainable value creation of the Simfer business. This position sits at the heart of our operational ecosystem, where you will work closely with multiple teams across the full mining value chain—from extraction to processing, logistics and shipment—to ensure that decisions are informed, coordinated, and aligned with long‑term business performance objectives.
In this strategic advisory role, you will deliver high‑quality reports, scenario analyses and presentations that clearly articulate how operational plans, ore movements and maintenance timing will influence value creation. You will help ensure that all parts of the business—from the mine to rail, port, and shipping—work in alignment and with a shared understanding of constraints and priorities. Occasionally, you may travel across Guinea and internationally to engage with other parts of the Simfer organisation.
Your Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with operational teams across the value chain to align planning assumptions and improve integrated business performance.
- Identify future risks and opportunities impacting long‑term value creation, including operational bottlenecks, capacity limitations and external factors.
- Maintain, refine and develop forecasting and scheduling tools for ore movement, maintenance planning and system-wide performance modelling.
- Produce high‑quality technical reports, dashboards and presentations that support operational and strategic decision discussions.
- Support cross‑functional alignment by helping teams understand the value implications of different operational scenarios and trade‑offs.
- Contribute to building a culture of transparency, collaboration and continuous improvement across the integrated value chain.
What You Will Bring
- Strong understanding of mining, industrial operations, and/or integrated value chain processes, ideally across several parts of the chain.
- Demonstrated experience working in complex, multidisciplinary environments, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical disciplines.
- A highly motivated, curious, and collaborative mindset, with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build trust across diverse teams and cultures.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to interpret complex datasets and build robust scheduling, forecasting and scenario‑modelling tools.
- Language skills in French, English and/or Mandarin, which are valuable assets in our multicultural operational setting.
- A commitment to driving safe, efficient and sustainable value creation across all parts of the mining operation.
