Newmont Tanami is on Aboriginal freehold land 540km northwest of Alice Springs. It is a long-life, low-cost, world-class asset in a core Newmont region. The Tanami Expansion 2 Project aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040, investing in a hoisting shaft which will increase the production of the underground mine from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa. Both the successful exploration within the underground operation and implementation of the first Tanami Expansion has laid the foundation to further develop the operation to remain a major contributor to the Newmont portfolio.

About the Role
As a key member of the Asset Management team at our Tanami Operations, you will manage all maintenance activities for our underground mobile equipment, supporting mining production by achieving targets in safety, equipment availability and reliability.

Task Types
- Provide leadership of the Underground Mobile Maintenance Team, including resolution of cross team/shift issues and inconsistencies to enable work to be balanced between teams to deliver overall plan outcomes.
- Work with the Asset Management Control Team to define strategy, then execute to ensure that all mining mobile equipment achieves availability to enable the Mining Team to achieve planned targets on a monthly, annual and long term basis.
- Manage the application of all Maintenance Systems in operation at DBS. This work includes the monitoring of all systems within the Mobile Fleet Maintenance Section, identification of system problems including development of system improvements and optimisation.
About You
- Relevant Trade or Tertiary Qualification
- Substantial years of experience maintaining mining mobile fleet equipment
- Significant years of experience in a leadership role
- Thorough knowledge of budget preparation and control
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Good communication, organisational and time management skills
- Proven ability to contribute to team outcomes
