OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Manager – Geology for Sukari mine to lead mine geology and exploration activities aligned to the Life of Mine (LOM) strategy. The role is responsible for growing Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves, optimising gold production, and ensuring safe, efficient geological operations across open pit and underground environments.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and execute mine geology and brownfields exploration strategies.
- Align geological plans and budgets to LOM and long-term asset value creation.
- Oversee grade control, resource modelling, reconciliation, and QA/QC systems.
- Lead HSE initiatives and foster a strong safety culture within the geology team.
- Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
- Build and develop technical capability and organisational structure.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators, contractors, and stakeholders.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology / Earth Sciences (Mining or Economic Geology preferred).
Experience
- 10–15 years’ mine geology experience across open pit and underground operations.
- Proven expertise in resource estimation, geological modelling, grade control, and LOM integration.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in industry software such as Datamine, Leapfrog, Surpac, Vulcan or similar.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
