Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Underground Engineering Supervisor, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Execute the daily tasks associated with supporting engineering and operations, such as Underground surveying, stope mark-up, conducting a CMS, drill hole deviation measurement, and mine layout creation/updates. Conduct underground surveying and ventilation surveying;
- Complete ventilation surveys and model updates as required;
- Perform volumetric and other calculations to support a variety of engineering analysis;
- Monthly (or bi-monthly) survey advance updates for month end purposes and special projects;
- Special projects according to the needs of the Engineering or Mine Department;
- Promote health and safety by participating in the monthly departmental health and safety meeting;
- Develop and maintain a high degree of precision and professionalism.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mine, Civil (hydrology/hydraulic), or Geological Engineering;
- Open pit or underground mining experience;
- Experience working with Deswik is considered an asset;
- Ontario Common Core or Québec FMTM modules are considered an asset.
Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work,, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
